Matthew Del Franco – Staff Tax Accountant and CPA Candidate
Matthew Del Franco brings years of experience working directly with clients on tax compliance issues to his new role at the Tax Law Offices of David W. Klasing.
From 2008 to 2013, Mr. Del Franco served our country as a member of the United States Marine Corps. As a Rifleman Team Leader with the 1st Battalion 4th Marines, Mr. Del Franco led other Marines during deployments and trained fellow Marines and foreign military partners on infantry tactics. While on Military Police billet, Mr. Del Franco supervised entry control points with more than 70,000 persons on site every day.
Mr. Del Franco began his tax career as an intern and tax associate with K.P.M.G. While at K.P.M.G., Mr. Del Franco provided tax compliance services to pass-through entities for a variety of large asset management clients and worked alongside the corporate tax compliance team on the preparation of particularly complex corporate tax returns. He also assisted audit teams with A.S.C. 740, accounting for income taxes serving major banks.
Mr. Del Franco is proficient in Thomson Reuters GoSystem Tax RS, CCH Intelliconnect Research Tools, and Alteryx. He holds a master’s degree in taxation and a bachelor’s degree in accounting, both from St. John’s University.
