Cassra Minai, Esq. – Staff Tax Attorney & Consultant
Cassra Minai, Staff Tax Attorney & Consultant, joins the Tax Law Office of David W. Klasing as a welcome addition to our award-winning team. Mr. Minai obtained his Juris Doctor degree, concentration in Tax, from Quinnipiac University in 2017, graduating with Honors while earning various academic awards, including awards for Excellence in Tax and the Distinguished Academic Achievement Award for Tax Research.
Prior to graduating, Mr. Minai was specially recognized to represent the Internal Revenue Service as a student intern at the Trial Calendar before the Tax Court. As a former legal intern for the Office of Chief Counsel, IRS Small Business and Self-Employment (SB/SE) Division, he has also conducted legal research for the IRS field manual for the State of Connecticut, demonstrating a superior command of tax knowledge as it pertains to both business entities and individuals. Mr. Minai’s inside perspective of the IRS translates into sophisticated tax solutions that are actionable, effective, and tailored to the client’s individual needs.
Mr. Minai is experienced in all aspects of small business tax law, enabling him to provide legal guidance as to a wide range of family companies, start-ups, independent contractors, and others. His areas of focus include tax compliance for small businesses, individuals, and non-profit organizations; business tax planning and research; IRS tax controversy and dispute resolution, including tax litigation in federal court; IRS Branerton letters and conferences; and helping taxpayers navigate the tax consequences of foreclosure or debt discharge (bankruptcy).
