Manal Aleisa, Esq.
Manal Aleisa, Esq. is a Tax Attorney who manages the firm’s collection department. She graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in accounting with a minor in finance from the University of Miami and with a J.D. from Loyola Law School in Los Angeles, CA. Ms. Aleisa comes to the firm with an extensive background in Tax Law, particularly International Tax Law, from her experience prior to, during, and after law school. Having grown up throughout Europe, the Middle East, and North America and worked in several foreign countries, she has developed keen cross-cultural communication skills. She is a fluent Spanish speaker and can speak conversational French.
Prior to beginning her law school career, Ms. Aleisa served as a legal intern for Wong & Mak, LLC in Pasadena, CA and as a U.S Tax Law intern for Anaford Attorneys in Zürich, CH. In the latter role she researched amended FATCA and BSA regulations, International Tax Treaties, and the resulting novel issues for US persons and expats, developed solutions to International Tax and Asset Management Issues by navigating International Tax Treaties and laws of multiple nations, and prepared Reports of Foreign Bank and Financial Accounts (FBARS) for Offshore Voluntary Disclosure Program participants. During law school, she worked in Los Angeles as an extern for Public Counsel, and a volunteer for the Bet Tzedek Legal Services Clinic. In both roles, she provided low-income clients with free legal assistance. At her graduation from Loyola Law in 2015, Ms. Aleisa received the Gregory W. Goff Award in Tax Law in 2015, which recognizes the highest academic achievement in the tax law curriculum for that year’s graduating class.
After law school, Ms. Aleisa started her career as project manager & Payroll Administrator at E&M Manufacturing in Darvel, Scotland. In October 2017, she returned to the U.S. and transitioned to a role as Head of Legal, Tax and Accounting Affairs for a sole proprietor in Los Angeles, CA, where she filed the sole proprietor's income tax return, consolidated the business activities into her Schedule C (pre-incorporation), and obtained her the highest allowable amount of write-offs, credits, exemptions, and deductions. From January 2019 until she joined the Klasing team, Ms. Aleisa worked as a Tax Attorney for Taxrise in Irvine, CA. In this role, she advised clients on a variety of domestic and international tax issues and assisted them in filing their returns in such a way to help them achieve the lowest possible tax liability and the highest possible tax return, as well as negotiating with the IRS and resolving back tax liabilities for her clients for as low as 0.73% of the original liability. In March 2019, only one full month into her new role, Mr. Aleisa was honored with the company-wide Excellence Award in recognition of extraordinary contribution and performance.
