Dennise Lopez Ruvalcaba is a tax and accounting professional and a CPA candidate. She earned her Master of Professional Accountancy from the University of California, Irvine.
Mrs. Lopez served as an Accountant at Don Chuy Mexican Restaurant, where she recorded financial transactions in the general ledger, prepared income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements, assisted with payroll and tax compliance, and managed bank reconciliations and cash flow monitoring.
Previously, she worked as a Rotational Staff Accountant at Richardson Kontogouris Emerson LLP. Her responsibilities included preparing and reviewing federal and state income tax returns, calculating and filing property and sales taxes, reviewing journal entries and trial balances, and analyzing financial data to assist clients in forecasting and understanding their financial position. She worked across multiple functions including accounts payable, receivable, equity, liabilities, intangibles, and more.
Earlier in her career, Ms. Lopez served as a Senior Behavior Therapist and Trainer at the Center for Autism and Related Disorders, where she trained new staff, led data collection efforts, and implemented therapeutic programs for children and young adults with autism.
She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Human Development from California State University, Long Beach, and completed additional studies at El Camino College. Ms. Lopez is proficient in QuickBooks, Xero, Microsoft Excel, and is knowledgeable in GAAP, SAP, and SOX guidelines.
