While still working towards her degree in accounting at California State University, Long Beach(CSLUB), which she obtained in May of 2024, Nancy worked as a Volunteer Income Tax Assistant for CSULB, meeting face to face with clients to help prepare their taxes and navigate the 2024 tax season.
Nancy’s experience as a tax intern for Windes, Inc. in the early fall of 2023 provided crucial hands-on experience working on various tax forms and learning how to navigate and use complex software, including CCH Axcess and ProSystem fx Engagement. Following the end of her internship with Windes, Inc., Nancy was offered an opportunity to return for the upcoming tax season. Faced with the chance to further her education and keep interacting with clients, Nancy accepted the offer and continued to expand her experience and knowledge in tax preparation. During her time in college and while participating in competitive internships, Nancy also worked as a hospice care provider for her brother for several years, committing her free time to his health and care.
Nancy’s exceptional observational, organizational, and communication skills make her a welcome addition to the Tax Law Offices of David W. Klasing following her recent graduation from CSLUB, where she showed her commitment to her degree as a member of the college’s Accounting Society. With plans to be CPA-eligible by the end of 2024, Nancy is prepared to help clients with their tax needs as a member of the team.
