Can I stop the IRS from repeatedly auditing me?

The IRS ordinarily attempts to avoid repeat examinations of the same items, but sometimes this happens, especially where the Service successfully assesses additional income tax with each additional examination. However, if your tax return was examined for the same items in either of the 2 previous years and resulted in a no change audit, the Service has procedures in place which can be utilized to attempt to prevent a subsequent examination.
