No. Section 901(a) permits a taxpayer to claim a (non-refundable) credit against his U.S. income tax. When a tax is non-refundable, the credit is not allowed to exceed one’s U.S. taxes. However, while it is a non-refundable credit, the credit may be carried either forward or backward to other years when one’s credit exceeds his U.S. taxes.

Dave was great! I scheduled a meeting with him and he walked me through the process of writing to the IRS to eliminate penalties that they said I owed. We also offer virtual consultations and can travel to meet with clients in one of our satellite offices.
Outside of our 4 hour initial consultation option, we do not charge travel time or travel expenses when traveling to one of our Satellite offices, or surrounding business districts, where it is necessary to meet personally with taxing authority personnel, make court appearances, or any in person meeting deemed necessary for the effective representation of a client.
